A buzz no doubt caused by the controversy of some of the outfits the celebrities wore to grace the 10th edition of the Awards night has got the internet buzzing with conversations and debates. The award-winning actress and film producer, Nana Akua Addo, caused a buzz on the internet with her outfit for the AMVCA Award Night. Having won Best Dressed two times in a row at the AMVCA awards, Beauty is determined to maintain a high rank in the Nigerian fashion industry. The Big Brother Naija reality TV star appeared in a Barbie-coloured Rosy Hue from the Vitraux collection. Styled by Emagine by Bukola, Beauty was announced as Best Dressed for the AMVCA Awards 2024.

Richard Mofe Damijo

Veteran Actor Richard Mofe Damijo transforms a piece that was supposed to be usual into a distinct style. He stunned the Red carpet in a purple Agbada with lilac stripes made with the Yoruba hand-woven cloth popularly known as Aso-oke. Seasoned with traditional beads and a native Fulani-style cap, the actor’s outfit interprets the diversity and the connection among the Nigerian ethnic groups. Her outfit, designed by Veekee James and styled by Regal by Dovin, exudes a sense of corporate elegance. On the right side of her dress is a half-blazer covering only one side, creating the illusion of a blazer over a jumpsuit, while on the left side, there is a detachable veil flowing from her waist beyond floor level. The media personality and influencer embodied the simple, classy, and detailed attire in grand style while hosting HypoGoWipeO at the AMVCA night.

Chioma (GoodHair) Ikokwu

Like leaves branches swinging from a tree, Chioma’s custom dress is a craft of imagination to life. The Lawyer and entrepreneur showed up at the awards night in her silver illusion dress with a black material customised as leaves hanging off a tree. Her designer Wisdom Adaba of Weiz Dhurm Franklyn stated in his Instagram post that “Chioma is utter perfection in the Weiz Dhurm Franklyn gown.   

Toke Makinwa

The Media personality and influencer served classy top-notch looks at the awards night. Toke Makinwa’s outfit also designed by Veekee James takes a different fashion art concept. The extended design of her dress like a dish covers her face partly. The gown having a two-step round flay design expresses confidence and glamour. “This dress is fully hand-painted from scratch to finish” said Veekee James who referred to this ensemble as Wearable Art.

Neo Akpofure

After winning Best Dressed for the AMVCA 10th edition cultural day, Neo made his way into the final night looking regal. He arrived on the red carpet embodying masculinity in a body-beaded illusion blazer inspired by Vivienne Westwood. His outfit, which appeared simple yet detailed, was styled by Gabriel Anthonys, who explained that it tells the story behind every strong man—the pain, the heartbreaking moments, and everything a man has been through.
