Ayo Edebiri and The Awards Trifecta
For Ayo Edebiri, the new year gets off to a good start as she receives three consecutive awards at the recent award ceremonies. The Nigerian-born American “Irish” actress was recently awarded a Primetime Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her titular role in The Bear, alongside winning a Critics Choice award and a Golden Globe for the same role. Similarly, her co-star, Jeremy Allen White, also won awards for acting in all three ceremonies.

The Bear had the highest number of nominations and wins at the Emmys, with 13 nominations and 10 wins, after its first season won the American Film Institute Awards in 2022. Recently, Ayo Edebiri has starred in multiple projects, such as the comedy film Bottoms, Theatre Camp, and The Sweet East. She is scheduled to appear in Marvel’s Thunderbolts in 2025.
