Building Legacies in Style: The FashionEVO Pop-Up Boutique at ACM 2025

At the heart of Africa Creative Market 2025, the FashionEVO Pop-Up Boutique emerges as both marketplace and meeting point, a carefully curated ecosystem where craftsmanship, identity, and imagination converge. From September 16 to 19, the boutique will gather some of the continent’s most compelling designers, accessory makers, and lifestyle innovators, each carrying a distinct story stitched, sculpted, or bottled into their work. Together, they embody the spirit of collaboration and creativity that defines this year’s edition of ACM.

Walking through the boutique feels like stepping into a living anthology of African fashion. The journey begins with ÀÁDÙN, where perfume oils capture memory and ritual, turning scent into a language of power and softness. Nearby, MAK makes a bold statement for sustainable, Afropolitan style, weaving together global outlooks and local storytelling. MOH Lagos continues the rhythm, fusing African heritage with contemporary sophistication, while Àshàbí Fads presents everyday tailoring crafted in Lagos and shipped worldwide.

In Austine Mali’s collections, African heritage collides with modern silhouettes for men and women, while Maple Street bursts with colour and texture through handcrafted jewellery and footwear. For those who find comfort in versatility, 1407 Style delivers effortless pieces rooted in ease, adaptability, and sustainability. Meanwhile, IFFIZI embraces the vibrancy of Nigerian culture through a bold mix of fabrics, sustainability, and European inspired design.

Minimalists will find resonance in Melira’s surreal, dreamy aesthetics and in Henri Uduku’s confident gender neutral tailoring; garments that balance Yoruba textile traditions with quiet modernity. Leather craftsmanship thrives across several exhibitors: Blarkmate experiments with metallics, Aso-Oke, and Adire to create distinctive footwear and accessories; Morin.O stands as a veteran of African luxury, internationally recognised for its handbags and small leather goods; Rumen brings a timeless touch to handbags and leather essentials; SissyRemi pushes boundaries with expressive, contemporary women’s wear; and L’Akix creates bold, hand painted bags that embody audacious African luxury.

Other exhibitors add further depth and texture to the showcase. Amarelis draws on the harmony of nature in exquisitely crafted women’s wear. Kieva Desuwa redefines Nigerian footwear with a dedication to handmade craftsmanship across all sizes. IWA transforms fashion into wearable art, while Idozi Collective curates authentic African design straight from creatives to closets. Tafe Organics steps beyond fashion into beauty, offering natural skincare for sensitive skin. Fabric Printing Global anchors the production side, helping brands bring design visions to life with custom textile printing. Marté Egele, with its roots in family and friendships, creates limited edition leather goods infused with Art Deco flair and a mission for sustainability. Finally, Beampeh Lifestyle, with over two decades of experience, champions slow African fashion through handcrafted accessories and home décor that honour heritage with a modern spirit.

Together, these brands form a spectrum of African creativity: fashion, fragrance, leather, jewellery, skincare, and textiles all speaking to the diversity of talent shaping the continent’s creative economy. And this year, the Pop-Up Boutique welcomes an added layer of collaboration: through a partnership with Fashion Connect Africa, two guest designers from Ghana will join the lineup, bringing fresh perspectives and underlining the boutique’s role as a cross-continental hub. Their presence signals the boutique’s evolution beyond a showcase, it is a dialogue between traditions, markets, and future possibilities.

For visitors, the FashionEVO Pop-Up Boutique offers more than shopping; it is an encounter with the richness of African creativity in its most authentic form. Each brand presents not only products but philosophies, ways of seeing, wearing, and living. Across four days at ACM 2025, the boutique will be a living proof of what happens when visionaries come together, each carrying their legacy yet building something collective.
