In celebration of International Women’s Month, FashionEVO, in collaboration with the British Council, presents an intimate convening of women shaping the future of the creative economy. At a time when the influence of women across creative industries continues to expand, this gathering brings together a curated circle of visionary leaders, creators, and cultural thinkers for an evening of meaningful dialogue, connection, and shared inspiration. Designed as a reflective Post-International Women’s Day experience, the event creates space for deeper conversations around creativity, leadership, and the evolving role of women in driving cultural and economic transformation.

“Women are not just participating in the creative economy; we are redefining it. Through our ideas, our resilience, and our ability to build from vision, we are shaping culture in ways that are both powerful and enduring. This gathering is about creating space, space for honest conversations, for shared experiences, and for the kind of connections that inspire new possibilities. Blueprints & Breakthroughs is an extension of that vision documenting not just success, but the journey, the process, and the leadership behind it.” — Dr. Yetty Ogunnubi Founder, FashionEVO
Introducing: Blueprints & Breakthroughs This gathering also marks the official launch of Blueprints & Breakthroughs, a new FashionEVO series dedicated to spotlighting the journeys, insights, and impact of women leading across the creative landscape. The series will explore the intersection of creativity and leadership, documenting the ideas, challenges, and defining moments that shape successful women in the creative economy.   Bringing together a select group of 50 exceptional women, this invitation-only experience is intentionally designed to foster authentic connection and high-value exchange within an intimate setting. Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated evening that blends conversation, community, and creative expression.   In keeping with the spirit of individuality and artistic freedom, the dress code for the evening is Boho Black Affair, an invitation to interpret black through texture, movement, and personal style. ⸻   This is a strictly by-invitation gathering.

LAGOS, NIGERIA — Style House Files (SHF) is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of Woven Threads, featuring the theme: “CRAFTED.” Taking place from April 9th to 12th, the platform will bring together designers and innovators to explore practical, locally rooted pathways toward a more sustainable fashion ecosystem.

Since its inception, Woven Threads has convened hundreds of designers, innovators, and industry stakeholders to advance circularity, sustainability, and responsible production across Africa’s fashion and textile value chains. The platform continues to sit at the center of conversations on craft, materiality, and systems-led thinking shaping the future of fashion on the continent. [caption id="attachment_19816" align="alignnone" width="819"] Woven Threads[/caption] Building on the success of the 2025 cross-continental dialogues in London and Lagos, this year’s edition introduces “CRAFTED”, a three-day experience that spotlights contemporary circular design, material innovation, and systems-led thinking. The 2026 platform approaches sustainability as a lived practice embedded in material knowledge, community-based production, and adaptive reuse. Craft is positioned not as heritage alone, but as an active framework informing how fashion is made, scaled, and sustained across the continent. Woven Threads will unfold as a curated, design-led environment comprising:
  • An Exhibition: Showcasing the continent’s finest circular designers and innovators.
  • A Knowledge Exchange: Facilitating dialogues on material intelligence and systems-led thinking.
  • A Marketplace: Connecting craft-focused businesses, textile entrepreneurs, and accessories brands with global partners.
  • The Showcase: Positioning Africa as a site of knowledge and solutions where traditional practices and modern ideas converge.
Together, these elements reinforce Woven Threads’ role as both a cultural platform and an industry-facing convening space within Lagos Fashion Week’s broader ecosystem. Event Details: Date: 9th – 12th April, 2026 Theme: CRAFTED
