Ejiro Amos Tafiri Kicks off Lagos Fashion Week 2024 with Offsite Show Symphony of Convergence.
Lagos Fashion Week 2024: Commune started with a striking offsite presentation by esteemed designer Ejiro Amos Tafiri at RoyalBox VI. FashionEVO is a proud partner alongside, Chivas Regal, RoyalBox, MAC, Popcentral as Ejiro Amos Tafiri unveiled her spectacular show under the theme “Symphony of Convergence.”
The event commenced with a vibrant red carpet, showcasing leading figures in Africa’s fashion industry, including Denola Grey, Enaife Momodu, Florence Ita-Giwa, Abba Folawiyo, Mai Atafo, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Frank Oshodi, Ezinne Zinkata, Derenle Edun, the acclaimed actress Kate Henshaw, Dr. Yetty Ogunnubi, Emmy Collins, Gbenga Artsmith and many others, all dressed with elegance for the occasion.
In a spectacular one-of-a-kind fashion, the show began with an electric performance by a dance troupe followed by kid models adorably draped in outfits, beginning the show on a light note.
Then came the firestarter, as adult models followed with an assemblage of flowing two-pieces, dress and agbadas. With flowy silhouettes and delicate finishing, Ejiro’s collection featured outfits of expertly combined materials like aso-oke, chiffon, and silk, designed with soft pastel peaches and pink, to sky blues and dark browns.
The collection had a celestial, regal feel to them, a symbolism to nature’s calm and peace, magnified by the forest motifs of the runway and the twittering birds that sang in unison to the collection’s name; Symphony of Convergence.
The highlight of the show was Kate Henshaw, elegantly strutting the runway, draped in a cream coloured sleeveless two-piece. The evening wound up with music, refreshments and dancing, before the guests retired to the after-party at Boho Fashion Lounge.
Ejiro Amos Tafiri put on a masterclass of a show, setting the rest of the fashion week at a fireball pace.
Ejiro’s Exclusive Showrrom opens today till the 27th of October, from 12pm to 8pm, at 26B Eko Pearl, Tower B, Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, Lagos.
