This past September, Fashion Scout showcased the highly anticipated Ones To Watch 01 event during London Fashion Week 2026, featuring a vibrant selection of emerging talents from Armenia, Dubai, Libya, London, the USA, and Thailand.
Held on Saturday, September 20th, at 1:30 PM, the showcase marked the first of two Ones To Watch events this season, spotlighting six visionary designers in contemporary fashion. Now in its 13th year, Ones To Watch remains a crucial platform at London Fashion Week, recognised for launching designers whose influence extends far beyond the runway. Notable alumni, including Eudon Choi, Phoebe English, Roberts|Wood, Angel Chen, Ji Won Choi, Susan Fang, 1×1 Studio, and Georgia Harding, illustrate the initiative’s role as a catalyst for innovation in the global fashion scene.
This season, Ones To Watch 01 presented six remarkable designers whose creations are deeply rooted in storytelling, cultural identity, and fearless craftsmanship. From garments that evoke the intimacy of skin and the ritual of tattooing to silhouettes inspired by architecture, heritage, and resilience, the lineup offered an emotionally charged, cross-cultural dialogue in design. These emerging talents invited audiences to experience fashion not just as clothing, but as narrative, memory, and expression.

London-based designer Jaoka Jaokha creates work rooted in storytelling, weaving cultural identity and human emotion into garments that blur the line between intimacy and expression. Drawing from her Thai heritage and her practice as a tattoo artist, Jaokha uses fashion as a canvas for memory and ritual. Integrating unconventional materials and artisanal techniques, her collections become vessels of sentiment, celebrating femininity, cultural narrative, and the emotional connection between skin and fabric. “Temple of the Mind” is a collection that explores the mind as a sanctuary, a place of protection and preservation. Drawing inspiration from Thai culture and traditional costume, the collection translates ceremonial silhouettes and spiritual beliefs detail into a contemporary context. It reflects the balance between strength and fragility, permanence and impermanence, while addressing the need to protect inner peace.

London-based Libyan designer Ruaa Elmansuri blends North African heritage with conceptual, dreamlike womenswear.
