FashionEVO Summit & Show 2025: A Celebration of African Design Excellence

FashionEVO Summit & Show 2025, held on September 18 at the Africa Creative Market 2025 at Landmark Event Centre, stood as a vibrant testament to the creativity and innovation that defines Africa’s fashion landscape. Rukuhs Petali blurred founded by Dr. Promise Ovai Kenneth-Odum, uniquely blends fashion and floristry. Each piece from Rukuhs Petali is a celebration of beauty and exclusivity, designed for those who appreciate the intersection of nature and fashion.

Fabric Printing Global

Kijipa Couture, a staple in Nigerian fashion since its inception in 1996, showcases luxury apparel that celebrates African heritage. The brand’s name, which translates to “the crowned King of fabrics,” reflects its deep respect for traditional textiles. Kijipa’s designs reinterpret timeless styles with a modern twist, using high-quality materials like handwoven Aso Oke fabric. Their commitment to ethical fashion is evident in their “Kijos” line, where a portion of proceeds is donated to feed children in Nigerian slums, merging style with social impact.

Their flowing silhouettes and intricate detailing celebrate the beauty and strength of African heritage.

IFFIZI captivates audiences with its vibrant designs that blend rich African fabrics with innovative European styles. Each piece encapsulates the spirit of Nigeria, celebrating individuality and confidence. The brand is dedicated to creating fashion that goes beyond mere clothing, transforming each item into a bold statement of style and cultural pride.

The Adire Oodua Textile Hub serves as a vital resource for preserving traditional textile techniques in Nigeria. By offering educational programs focused on Adire textile manufacturing, the Hub fosters awareness and appreciation for sustainable practices in the fashion industry. Sly Monay redefines traditional African attire with a contemporary twist. Founded by Sulaimon Monayajo, this Nigerian fashion brand has gained acclaim for its innovative designs that merge modern flair with cultural heritage. Katie-O known fully as Katie O’Eleganza, is a Ghanaian designer celebrated for her elegant and high-quality African print and corporate wear for both men and women. Koje Originals founded by Oriyomi Adedoyin, specialises in bespoke and ready-to-wear luxury tailoring for men. Known for its timeless elegance and premium fabrics, the brand also offers unisex pieces that cater to a diverse clientele. With bases in both Lagos and Atlanta, Koje Originals is redefining luxury fashion with its modern sophistication and commitment to quality.

Afia Achiaa GH is a luxury women’s fashion brand that seamlessly blends traditional African heritage with contemporary elegance. Known for creating bold, authentic silhouettes, Afia Achiaa GH empowers women to express their worth through fashion. The dynamic Kola Kuddus founded by Kolawole Yusuf in 2014, has transformed from a humble home office into a booming men’s fashion brand. Known for its meticulous craftsmanship and contemporary design, Kola Kuddus now serves a diverse clientele across the US, UK, and Africa, establishing itself as a prominent name in the fashion world.

Salvage, based in Abuja, is recognised for its street-smart aesthetic and sharp tailoring. The brand’s curated capsule collections merge urban grit with refined craftsmanship, appealing to the modern man who values both style and individuality.

TF Apparels, rounds out this impressive showcase as a favourite among stylish men in Lagos. The brand is celebrated for its modern and sophisticated menswear, weaving a legacy of luxury and style into each of its designs.

FashionEVO Show not only highlighted established names but also unveiled the Top 3 finalists of the Textile Design Competition, showcasing fresh talent poised to drive African fashion into a thrilling new era.

As the curtains fell, the FashionEVO Summit & Show 2025 left an indelible mark on all who attended, celebrating the spirit of innovation and the rich tapestry of African fashion. With such brilliant designers leading the charge, the future of fashion in Africa is indeed bright.
