For Boutique Café, nostalgia is ever present

On the bustling street of Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island lies a cozy diner that feels like the 80s, Boutique Café. Step into Boutique Café and feel like the 80s never left. From stylistic vintage decor, outfitted with olive green and burgundy themes, imperial designed couches, and antique furniture, Boutique Café reminds us of simpler times, providing a spectacular ambience that pairs perfectly with their exquisite menu.

The same theme is seen in the guests that come to dine at Boutique Café. To mark its official opening, the restaurant hosted an evening event with the dress code themed “Vintage”. The guests took up the challenge, adding their own creative twists to classic styles from the 80s and 90s. From flared pants to boxy suits, everyone came ready to rock.

Fashion is cyclical. Old trends repeat themselves, and with every iteration comes an added twist that redefines the style. For Boutique Café the style reinvents itself, with the 80s maximalist decor and modern outfitting, inspiring guests to match its aesthetic with their own modern revisions of vintage styling.

This style extends to their staff as well, as they don impeccable vintage western-style regalia; pinafores, stockings, suspenders, and fedoras to match, to further drive home the vintage styling. Boutique Café is changing fine dining in Lagos, moving away from the minimalist whites and greys, to bold, expressive decor, prompting its guests to do the same; embrace the colorful, showcase the bold.

You can find Boutique Café at 64, Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island. Pay a visit, and check out the scenery. You can have a croissant while at it as well.
