Roundtable Discussion with Prosper Africa: “Building a Resilient Fashion Ecosystem: A Nigeria-Netherlands Exchange Program for Circular Fashion”
The day began with a roundtable led by Omoyemi Akerele focused on the importance of market access and partnerships for African designers. The conversation, featuring Moda Operandi’s Rizka Rivianti, addressed solutions to double taxation, the potential of made-to-order models, and the need for diverse retail channels. The session also explored programs like AGOA to increase market access, with a focus on expanding Nigeria’s export economy through educational, financial, and technological support.
Conversation on African Luxury Goods: Ezreen Benissan x Eniafe Momodu
In a session addressing perceptions of African luxury goods, Eniafe Momodu and Ezreen Benissan discussed the growing demand among African consumers for luxury goods and the importance of reshaping the narrative of African luxury on a global stage. They emphasized the need to elevate awareness of high-end African brands, positioning them as distinctive players in the luxury market.
Fostering a Sustainable Fashion Ecosystem: Masterclass with Holland Circular Hotspot
Professor Kim Poldner from the University of Groningen introduced sustainable business models from the Netherlands, spotlighting local production and innovative consumer options like clothing swaps and monthly denim subscriptions. Ricco Florito of Cooloo showcased a project that uses technology to creatively repurpose waste materials. Closing the session, Obaloluwa Dairo from Circo Hub Nigeria emphasized the importance of diversifying sustainable shopping options and encouraged more inclusive research to support a range of demographics.

Elexiay captivated the audience with its SS25 collection of hand-crocheted dresses, each piece a blend of colors—from ocean blues to bright yellows. The collection highlighted intricate craftsmanship with fringed edges and sophisticated silhouettes.
Green Access Program Showcases
Lagos Fashion Week’s Green Access program continues to champion sustainable fashion, showcasing a remarkable lineup of six designers dedicated to eco-friendly, innovative designs.
Dimeji Ilori opened the Green Access showcase with pieces inspired by peacocks, crafted from woven raffia mats. Each outfit stood out with feather-like details, reimagining traditional materials in strikingly modern silhouettes.
Garbe presented vibrant, lightweight designs featuring colorful, breezy pieces that captured an effortless blend of comfort and versatility.
Malité followed with an edgy collection of deep reds and mesh fabrics, bringing an avant-garde approach to sustainable design and offering a fresh take on bold evening wear.
Revival LDN presented a standout lineup of denim-inspired looks, with models wearing repurposed denim pieces that combined oversized jackets, patchwork detailing, and high-waisted jeans. This collection celebrated a vintage aesthetic infused with modern energy, staying true to the brand’s sustainable ethos.
Oya Abeó infused heritage and contemporary fashion, blending batik and Aso Oke into sleek, modern silhouettes. The designs offered timeless elegance, merging cultural textures with modern tailoring for a sophisticated look.
Iretímíde energized the runway with pieces in bold yellows and reds. The designer’s warm-toned dresses and two-piece sets radiated confidence, encapsulating the spirit of empowerment through fashion.
E-S-O by Liman closed the Green Access showcase, highlighting Afrocentric beauty through intricate foil lace dresses and vibrant adire prints, each look representing a celebration of traditional Nigerian artistry.
Hertunba
Hertunba’s collection, The Woman Before Us, paid homage to heritage with flowing kaftans and delicate organza fabrics. Using Edo traditional textiles, Hertunba created an inclusive lineup that appealed to various ages with a refined style and sophisticated silhouettes.
Babayo
Babayo’s collection was accented with bold headpieces and striking black-and-white details, each piece combining cultural heritage with contemporary flair, creating a bold statement on the runway.
Loza Maléombho x VIVAJET Collaboration
This collaboration introduced a fresh take on travel wear with Afro-futuristic hostess uniforms. Featuring tailored short dresses, the collection combined strength and elegance, creating a moment that bridged high fashion and travel.
Emmy Kasbit
Emmy Kasbit’s “Recollection” brought the Day 3 runway to a memorable close, weaving Akwete motifs into sleek, modern silhouettes. With retro-inspired colors, the collection left a lasting impression on the evening’s showcase.
