Lagos Fashion Week 2025 Day 3: A Night of Bold Expressions on the Runway

The evening runway of Lagos Fashion Week 2025 was a vibrant celebration of creativity, showcasing the dynamic interplay of movement, colour, and cultural storytelling. Fifteen designers unveiled their Spring/Summer 2026 collections, each interpreting the season through a unique lens of craftsmanship and experimentation.

Lagos Fashion Week 2025The show opened with Sevon Dejana, whose collection featured bold silhouettes that embodied feminine strength. The couture-inflected designs shimmered with intricate beaded cascades and sculptural lines, capturing the audience’s attention from the first look. Following this, Ibilola Ogundipe offered a softer take on womanhood, presenting flowing fabrics and feather accents that danced gracefully, reminiscent of moving water, while corseted details added a touch of elegance.

Love From Julez made a striking return, showcasing its signature architectural pleats coupled with vibrant color palettes. In contrast, JZO delivered a masterclass in modern tailoring, presenting structured yet fluid designs that embraced a genderless aesthetic, culminating in a refined exploration of form and balance.

The NIVEA x Fruché partnership unveiled a monochrome capsule collection, featuring sheer suiting and textured fringe that captivated the audience. Lush Hair transformed the runway into a visual spectacle, highlighting texture and volume, with the grand finale featuring chef Hilda Baci in a stunning flowing pink dress and sculptural afrocentric hairstyle.

Across all collections, one theme resonated profoundly: the freedom to create without limits. Designers leaned into movement, utility, and storytelling, crafting pieces that mirrored Lagos’s vibrant creative pulse. The night felt like a full-circle moment, where the ideas discussed earlier in the day found vivid expression in fabric, silhouette, and confident design.

The runway at Lagos Fashion Week 2025 reaffirmed its role as a meeting point for thought and artistry, where fashion emerges not just as an industry but as a powerful medium through which Africa narrates its most dynamic stories.
