Njiko, a pioneering platform dedicated to preserving and innovating Southeastern Nigeria’s heritage, is excited to announce the inaugural Njiko Digital Symposium, taking place on Monday, December 30, 2024. This virtual event will gather cultural leaders, creators, and innovators to explore how heritage drives creative resilience and fosters sustainable creative

Founded by Myles Igwebuike, a celebrated designer and social innovator, Njiko serves as a medium for advancing, reimagining, and reclamation of cultural narratives in Southeastern Nigeria. The symposium marks a significant step in Myles’ broader programming ahead of his role as Curator and Designer for the Nigerian Pavilion at the 2025 London
Design Biennale, where Nigeria’s cultural and creative heritage will take centre stage before a global audience.

About Myles Igwebuike
Myles Igwebuike is a Nigerian-American designer, researcher, and social innovator working between Enugu, Nigeria, and London. With a focus on cultural preservation and inclusive design, he bridges tradition and innovation, drawing inspiration from his Southeastern Nigerian heritage.
A prestigious Royal College of Art graduate in London, Myles has been recognized as one of Architectural Digest’s AD100 Rising Stars to Watch for 2024. He is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Transportation, and a design expert with the U.K.’s Design Council. Myles is also the curator of the Nigerian Pavilion at the 2025 London Design Biennale.
Through his groundbreaking work, Myles demonstrates that design is not only a tool for storytelling but also a catalyst for community empowerment and cultural innovation.
