FJU Talents 26 Celebrates 10 Years of Taiwanese Design at London Fashion Week
FJU Talents 26 returns to London Fashion Week Fashion Scout on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 3pm, marking its 10th anniversary with a special showcase celebrating a decade of Taiwanese fashion and textile design.
Presented by the Department of Textiles and Clothing at Fu Jen Catholic University, FJU Talents has spent the past ten years supporting emerging designers from Taiwan, offering them a platform to develop their creative practice and present their work to an international fashion audience.
The 2026 edition celebrates this milestone by bringing together four new voices in Taiwanese fashion and textiles, alongside selected work from designers who have previously featured in the FJU Talents platform over the past decade.
This year’s showcase introduces Min-Hsin Yu, YUI Kao, Alison Lai and Ting Hsuan Chang, each presenting a distinct creative vision shaped by experimentation, identity, desire, belief and the body.

MIN HSIN YU
A graduate of Textile Design at Fu Jen Catholic University, Min-Hsin Yu draws inspiration from the contrasting sunsets of Earth and Mars, exploring individuality through colour, texture and craftsmanship.
Using hand crochet and ribbon yarns, Yu translates shifting light into layered textile surfaces where warm orange-red tones meet deep blues. Through delicate construction and contrasting hues, the collection creates an elegant balance between opposing states, revealing individuality as something constantly transforming.

YUI Kao

YUI KAO
A graduate of Fashion Design at Fu Jen Catholic University, YUI Kao presents Impulse Lover, a collection exploring self-presentation and desire within contemporary romance.
Imagining lovers as products packaged to be desired, Kao uses genderless oversized silhouettes and cord corsets to reshape conventional body codes. Taiwanese snack packaging, heart-shaped charms and vivid red tulle collide with romantic fantasy, creating a bold, humorous and inclusive queer aesthetic.

Alison Lai
First selected for FJU Talents in 2019, Alison Lai returns to the platform in 2026 after founding her fashion label (She)nanigans in 2024.
Her latest collection examines patriarchal structures and the gaze upon the female body from a woman’s perspective. Inspired by the surreal world of David Lynch’s *Twin Peaks*, the collection features deconstructed tailoring, distorted black-and-white stripes and vivid red accents, creating tension between social restraint and female desire.

Ting Hsuan Chang

Ting Hsuan Chang
A graduate of Textile Design at Fu Jen Catholic University, Ting Hsuan Chang presents Cochlea, a collection inspired by parasitised snails and the tension between collective belief and free will.
Chang imagines a fictional religion through elaborate, ritualistic silhouettes and inverse-rib knit structures that create distorted optical textures. Blending sacred imagery with unsettling absurdity, the collection uses textiles to question faith, control and individual consciousness.
